about

Hello I'm Lisa
“Lilystitches is my quiet revolt against the throwaway world. While trends shout and everything gets flimsier by the minute, I stick to what holds: Cakes which are designed, quilts of heirloom quality and embroidery with meaning. If it isn’t real, it doesn’t make it out of my studio.”
My Story
Around here, we believe things made by hand hold a kind of truth the store-bought world simply can’t reproduce. Lilystitches is where Southern grit, humble grace and generations of skill come together in buttercream, thread, fabric and fondant. Every quilt is a forever hug. Every cake stands on the shoulders of tradition. Every embroidered detail tells an important story.
Everything made here is personal. Everything made here is intentional. And everything is made with the hope that what I create for you becomes part of your family story long after the party lights have gone out.
There are new things coming in the Spring of 2026 to Lilystitches! Exciting changes on the horizon. One of them is Cindy, my new partner. She’s such a blessing. Cindy will be the heartbeat of our new dessert bar offerings. She’s precise, orderly and meticulous with an eye for neatness that makes every tray, tier, and tasting look like a still life painting. While I’m sculpting cakes and stitching heirlooms, Cindy’s crafting a dessert experience that’s elegant, clean, balanced, and beautifully curated from the first macaron to the last spoon of mousse. Together, we bring baked charm and warm hospitality to every table we set.
We will also be adding a bright Japanese line of cakes and pastries. These creations are light and subtle; a must for the minimalist bride. Finally, we will be adding the Parisian Boutique Pâtissière Collection, full of rich butter, and decadent cream with flaky crusts.
Heirloom quilts will now come with a choice of Luxe fleece backing, which makes for a much heavier quilt, or you can stand with tradition and a cozy, Muslin backing like your great-grandmother likely used when she created a quilt for warmth and modesty.
Because every project is personal and every vision is different, we can start any project with an email and then we’ll set a time to talk. Whether you need a memory quilt, a celebration cake, or an illustrated invitation featuring your cat, I’ll listen to you, sketch how I see your vision, and then refine like mad, until it’s exactly what you want.
Talk to you soon!
Lisa
